This entry-level CAR is all about dividing your browsing into separate lanes. Use a Privacy Browser for select private parts of your digital life while keeping Big Tech and its surveillance network in their own sandpit — your old browser.
It’s the perfect CAR to learn to building CARS, and one we’ll continue to enhance throughout the 10 Steps.
It’s low-risk and low-privacy but ideal for beginners entering the race. While this CAR might not outrun elite trackers, it’s can take some of your private browsing off Big Tech’s Mass Surveillance Radar.
Browser Breakaway (Basic Browser Isolation)
Private browsing will be the destination of your first CAR.
We are simply going to separate your safe private browsing into a special type of browser called a Privacy Browser.
Big Tech Browser
Your current Browser will become your designated Big Tech Browser
This browser is for everything that falls under the Big Tech surveillance umbrella or where the privacy status is currently unknown. It will obviously include all your Big Tech accounts, government and semi-government services, banking, corporate accounts, and utilities.
Big Tech browsers do a decent job of protecting you from external threats. The great thing about the Big Tech Browser is that once you isolate it with everything under the surveillance umbrella, you no longer need to try and restrict its tracking, though we will be doing this as part of a future is upgrade.
Privacy Browser
This is your new default browser for most of your online activity
The Privacy Browser in intended to be your new default for most of your normal browsing. When safely implemented, it will provide a high level of online privacy most of your online browsing effectively making it anonymous for most people.
THERE SHOULD BE NO ASSUMPTION OF ABSOLUTE PRIVACY
- The idea of the Privacy Browser is not to be anonymous or hide your online activities.
- The idea is to take your private browsing out of the Big Tech mass surveillance umbrella and this alone is a MASSIVE STEP towards Digital Privacy.
The Privacy Browser is not about being completely anonymous or hiding your browsing activities. It simply removes your general private browsing from under Big Tech’s mass surveillance umbrella – a MASSIVE STEP toward achieving Digital Privacy.
If you need true anonymity, you’ll require a special anonymity browser or additional precautions. We will address this when we build the Anonymity CAR in Step 4.
